SUMMARY The Inside Salesperson is responsible for manning the phone queue along with entering customer quotes and orders. He or she must offer superior customer service, be able and willing to make cold calls to existing and new customers and take the initiative to better Seawide Distribution’s market position. Other duties include being the backup to the warehouse for shipping and receiving and taking care of Will Call customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
Self-starter: ability to work responsibly and autonomously in a high-volume fast-paced wholesale electronics distribution business
Provide front-line incoming phone queue support including technical support
Ability to quickly learn new products and computer systems in the ever-changing marine electronics industry
Proper entry of quotes and orders.
Sales effort in the regional territory and nationwide
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license for the state where employed and good driving record
Extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong work ethic.
Dependable and punctual
Strong interpersonal skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Candidate must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED); Marine or Automotive Service Technologies training from a certified Technical College desirable, 5 years related marine electronics experience; boating or marine industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General computer skills including Microsoft Office is required, and experience with ERP software preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
