About the Role
As a Cross Dock Manager, you will oversee cross-dock and delivery operations, manage drivers and facility staff, maintain fleet readiness, and coordinate with internal teams to support accurate, timely service.What You’ll Do
- Plan, direct, and monitor daily cross-dock operations, delivery routes, schedules, and driver assignments
- Track on-time delivery, route adherence, productivity, safety, and other key performance indicators
- Conduct driver observations, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
- Hire, train, develop, schedule, and manage cross-dock staff, including corrective action and employment decisions
- Oversee DOT-compliant fleet maintenance, service records, repairs, and vehicle readiness to minimize downtime
- Partner with distribution center leadership on inbound shipment quality, accuracy, condition, and timeliness
- Coordinate with Customer Service to resolve returns, damaged products, and delivery issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient facility using 5S principles
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of transportation, material handling, high-volume warehousing, freight consolidation, or trucking terminal experience
- Prior senior lead, supervisor, or management experience
- Strong people leadership, planning, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DOT requirements, fleet maintenance practices, route performance, and safe delivery operations
- No motor vehicle violations within the past 24 months
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and regularly stand, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, and climb
