Role Summary Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is seeking a Janitor / Housekeeping Associate to support our warehouse and distribution center in Brownstown, MI. This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary industrial facility that supports daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical cleaning and custodial duties in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities Include: As a Janitor, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the office, warehouse, and common areas, including but not limited to:
Clean, sanitize, and disinfect restrooms, offices, break rooms, warehouse floors, carpets, rugs, walls, windows, and doors
Perform industrial and warehouse cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as desks, door handles, tools, phones, and shared equipment
Empty and dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with company and local guidelines
Remove debris from sidewalks, entrances, and exterior areas
Monitor facility conditions and report unsafe conditions, spills, damage, or unusual occurrences to leadership
Maintain inventory of cleaning chemicals, tools, and supplies; request replenishment as needed
Follow OSHA, PPE, and safety standards at all times
Interact professionally with employees, vendors, and contractors
Assist with light maintenance, painting, sanding, or special cleaning projects as assigned
Perform other housekeeping or facilities duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience as a Janitor, Custodian, Housekeeper, or Facilities Maintenance Associate preferred (warehouse or industrial setting a plus)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
Willingness to work flexible or variable schedules, including weekends as needed
Painting and sanding experience is a plus, but not required
Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position involves physical labor in a warehouse/industrial environment:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach for extended periods
Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
May work in cramped spaces, under equipment, or in awkward positions
Exposure to dust, chemicals, cleaning agents, noise, and varying temperatures
Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Occasional travel may be required, including overnight stays, depending on business needs
