Design Engineer

Your Role with Keystone Automotive Operations
Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is currently looking to hire a Design Engineer for our Elkhart, IN location. Our Design Engineers are responsible for developing new product designs and modifying existing designs.
 

Responsibilities Include:
  • Participate in a cross functional team
  • Achieve successful completion of assigned work responsibilities on time, within budget, schedule requirements.
  • Write quality control inspection forms and product assembly instructions.
  • Develop new product designs and modify existing designs.
  • Provide support to production for any issues.
  • Design detailed3D drawings per given specifications.
  • Prepare lists of parts and BOMs for projects.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in the RV, towing or automotive industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical design including modeling, parts and assembly design, and structured bills of material
  • Proficiency with 3D solid modeling mechanical CAD software
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Read and make product drawings & BOM’s
  • Proficiency at GD&T
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of CAD Software
  • Office & shop environment (fabrication equipment, indoors, heated, partial AC)•Heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Solidworks
